Position Summary:
The Senior Accounting Specialist supports the accounting team's objectives by executing complex financial processes and preparing financial documents in accordance with advanced General Ledger accounting procedures and FEMA requirements, coordinating and engaging in project completion and problem resolution.   • Prepare, approve, and post general ledger journal entries.

  • Process stale check deposits.
  • Balance accounts in financial management software.
  • Prepare and submit FEMA Letters of Credit increase requests.
  • Handle internal and external mail.
  • Skills & Experience Required:

  • Job Description
  • Work closely with other developers and product managers to build robust, scalable, low-latency software solutions for the insurance industry
  • Design client-side and server-side architecture
  • Work across Frontend, Backend, and Database systems in this Full-Stack position
  • Test software to ensure accuracy, performance, and usability
  • Work with CI/CD tooling to improve and automate deployments
  • Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure to deploy and scale our applications
  • Review code, write unit tests, and follow software engineering best practices. Improve our practices with ideas that you suggest and implement.
  • Requirements:
  • Must be based in or around Tampa, FL
